If you’re reading this then more than likely you already know you can make money with a blog. Blogs kind of started as an online diary or way for people to make their commentary on any topic available to the world. Blogs and blogging have really transformed the world of news and media and like any form of media, once they gain popularity, people find ways to make money with them. There are a lot of different reasons to create a blog or multiple blogs and when most people get it in their head to create a blog, they’re not necessarily thinking about earning income. Of course, some people create a blog with just the money in mind, but if that is your goal, you might be more successful at making money if you look at it from both sides. If you go at your blog and start writing with the sole intention of making money, you might fail. Blogging can be used as a marketing tool, but it’s only going to be successful if you’re using it wisely. You might get somebody to your blog page, but if they start reading it and all it sounds like is that you’re advertising something, then they’re jumping off your page as quickly as they can. Look at blogging like it’s a promotional piece and you’re offering something to the potential customer. What you’re offering to your audience is knowledge.
That’s what they came to your page for. When somebody stumbles onto your blog, they got there through some kind of quest for knowledge. They’re looking to learn something whether it be the latest news or something about a specific topic, like a how-to or something about life and living. They might be looking for a good laugh. It doesn’t matter what they’re looking for, it just matters that they find your specific blog, and when they do find, that they get what they are looking for. Keep in mind, if you’re trying to make money, that your blog should always offer something relevant to the person who found your page – knowledge, information, a good laugh, or just some kind of emotion. Give the people something, especially for free, and they’re going to come back.
This idea sets up methods of affiliate marketing for success where people would read your blog and then click from your page, to a website that offers a product or service. When your blog reader clicks through and makes a purchase, then you earn a commission. Do you buy something? Most likely you do not. So, if you’re going to market products of your own, then take a more elliptical approach to things and be creative. You can even make money through blogging without even having a blog. Maybe you don’t know what kind of blog to create, but you just want to write. Well, there are a lot of people out there who are just they opposite. They have a blog but they don’t want to do the writing. They’re setting up a blog to make money and they’re willing to pay a freelance writer to create posts for them.
There are a lot of opportunities out there! It’s important to be creative and try to get an idea of what seems to be working for people. Take a look at forums and read what people are saying, but be smart about what you read. There are a lot of scams out there, so just do your research. Some of the most popular sources for information on the internet started from blogs, so maybe yours will be the next big thing. Maybe it’ll be just big enough to add a nice chunk to your income.
