Kombutcha is one of the best ways to keep your gut flora in tip top shape. It’s unfortunately an expensive drink in most grocery stores. For sale for at least $3 per bottle, it can get a little pricey. For most people this is not economical over the long term. I wanted to share how you can simply make your own kombutcha by taking 30 minutes out of your week to set everything up.
First you need to purchase a mother. If you’re reading this you may even know someone that has a mother you can use. But to back up a bit, the mother is just that, basically a mother-ship of bacteria. This mother is basically a healthy colony of bacteria that you use to start your kombutcha. Like other foods such as apple cider vinegar and fermented foods, the bacteria within are amazingly beneficial to your gut.
Once you have the mother you need to ensure you have a glass jar with a lid that can hold around a gallon of water. Clean this thoroughly so that you have a healthy environment for the probiotic bacteria to live and grow within. From there bring around a gallon of water to a boil, and turn the burner off. you will then need a cup of natural sugar. Processed sugar is can leave your mother unhealthy and unable to provide you with the healthy bacteria that you need. Add this sugar to the now hot water and slowly stir to dissolve all the sugar.
From there you can add 10 tea bags to the now warm brew of water and sugar. Let this sit until it becomes room temperature. After removing the tea bags you can then add this to your glass jar. Ideally you may want to add a bottle of kombutcha to the initial batch so that the environment is better suited to allow the bacteria to grow.
After around 10 days you should be able to harvest your first batch! Definitely experiment with flavoring and bottling after you are able to harvest!

Answer: When you’re hustling and you have limited budget, you might think you’re in trouble, but truthfully, the best way to close that financial gap is to work harder. You need a little extra hustle when you’re limited. Put the TV remote down and work a little harder, for a little longer. Tactically, this depends on the business, but business development is always the way to go. Hustle. Knock on doors. Spread your message. With a limited budget, time is really you’re only asset. My advice? Spend more of it working.
